In order to promote an appreciation for learning and to encourage students to enthusiastically pursue their formal and informal education the staff of Dover High School will:
* Participate in a partnership of learning with parents and community
* Promote a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for learning
* Develop self-esteem, confidence, pride, and a positive attitude in students
* Encourage students to become responsible for their own learning and demonstrate that learrning is a life-long process
* Strengthen opportunities for students to succeed and reach their maximum potential
* Prepare students to adapt to a changing global society
* Integrate academic and critical thinking skills with new technologies
* Promote belief in the value of public education
* Guide students toward responsible citizenship
* Develop a program of studies to accomplish the mission of Dover High School
